We are a large, mixed-voice choir of committed and enthusiastic singers of all ages and backgrounds, united by a love of music and choral singing. Our musical heritage in Chorleywood goes back over 100 years! We perform a wide range of choral music and welcome anyone who loves singing – no auditions are necessary. We stretch ourselves to produce great music, with three performances a year, and we always have great fun in the making.

Chorleywood Choral Society is delighted to be back in St Mary’s Church in Amersham on Saturday 9 May for Brahms' beautiful and hugely popular Ein Deutsches Requiem (Op 45).

The performance - a one-piano, four-hands arrangement, which Brahms himself authorised for smaller, more intimate performances - will be conducted by our musical director Graham Wili, and feature Iestyn Evans and Fei Ren on the piano and soloists Tiana Oberoi (soprano) and Alexander Semple (baritone).

Please join us for an evening of profound beauty centred on this hugely popular requiem, much loved by choirs and audiences. Unlike the traditional Latin requiem mass, Brahms’ work offers comfort and consolation to the living, and we can’t wait to sing for you this music of depth, tenderness and quiet majesty.
