30th August ups and downs

As some of you know Izzy is leaving for Spain on a life adventure and today was her last day in the office for you guys and for us an integral part of the team. We wish her all the best and look forward to seeing her in a few months time.

Scores are up now with J Lightowler leading the way on 65/70 and L Hardcastle taking the ladies top spot on 62/70, well done all

Pie and Peas by Deb and Jen seemed to go down a treat so I will endeavour to arrange the same for the next fixture

Thanks to all the Marne team and extended help that brings it together time after time

As the lovely LOL is away tomorrow I have sorted alternative catering in the form of Pie and Peas, mainly because that's what I like to eat. Beans will be available for those with no taste.
Many thanks to Cockburns Butchers for the fresh cooked goodness

16th August roundup

Firstly I have to thank Lee Curry for setting today's targets, his tour of this year's shoots filled his head with ideas to recreate for you guys, luckily Louise kept him from going full Phil on the difficulty
On top of a great course he has provided a whole set of prizes for those attending today with winners coming from the full range of entrants, the list is further down my ramblings

Top spot was shared by 3 people today, Chris Garsed, Paul Clark and Lee Curry all on 66/70, personally I think Lee did well not to crack under the pressure of his own targets lol
Tiara time went to Louise Gibbs on 58/70
Well done to all, scores up on the results page now

We won't have LOL's amazing catering for the next 2 shoots so you may have to fend for yourselves

Last but certainly not least thank you to all the Marne team for everything that makes the club run

See you all in a couple of weeks

Well a little later than hoped the scores for today are up, and a few personal bests in there I believe
Topping the charts were Mr Emmerson and Mr Blyth both on 66/70 and another double for the ladies with Louise Gibbs and Katie Carvey on 57/70, well shot everyone
We have a guest course setter next time so I'm going direct all blame that way in a fortnight, or take any praise as a team effort, only fair I feel
Have a fantastic couple of weeks and see you next time

19th July roundup

A short delay in today's write up due to catching up with the F1 in Spa, for the eagle eyed of you the scores have been up for a while

Well done to Ian Frank and Nev Barugh both topping the sheet on 60/70 and Louise Gibbs for the ladies on 51/70on a more technical course than the last couple of shoots
Well done to all that joined us today and thank you for the lovely comments on the layout
Have a great couple of weeks before our next fixture

Quick reminder of tonight's continuing friendly summer shoots.

I've been told there's also a kicky ball game on tonight, so if you'd like to come down a little earlier we should be ready just after 5 if you want to shoot before you go home to watch Messi do all the shooting 🤷

See you shortly

Little reminder of the return friendly at Sutton tomorrow night (Wednesday 7th July) from 6pm.

Sutton's ground is at Water Hall Farm, postcode: YO7 2PX

See you there

5th July shoot

The scores from today are now up. Sorry it's a little later than usual, but with Richard and Izzy in a mosh pit somewhere I had to dust off the computer and do typing!!! (Sorry for the scores I've typed in wrong 😂).

Busy day today with 99 entries so thankyou for your patience with Michelle in the hut!

Some excellent shooting, with Lee Curry on prize winning form with an impressive 68. Final words being "we need more Phil targets" after missing a Phil target on stand 9 😂

My apologies to everyone else for stand 9 which I dubbed: intentionally technical. Good to see so many of you hitting them though with high scores across the board.

Ladies congrats go to Lynne Hardcastle again, with an excellent score of 65! (Only beaten by Lee Curry and John longstaff)

Junior well dones to both Billy and Shay, putting scores up in the 50's!!

A little reminder that on Wednesday we have the return friendly at Sutton. Shooting from 1800 (that's 6pm) - I'll put a location pin in the comments of this post. If you can like that comment to let me know you're coming please, just so I can give the chef a clue on meal numbers.

Finally, thankyou to all helpers, both today and last weekend getting set up. The place wouldn't be here without you.

Hopefully see some of you lovely bunch on Wednesday (the rest of you in a fortnight, by which time Richard and Izzy's ears might have just stopped ringing)

A busy hot father's day! Thank you all for coming today around father's day plans. A particular well done today to Paul ...

A busy hot father's day!

Thank you all for coming today around father's day plans.

A particular well done today to Paul Clark, with a 64, proving that he didn't get his new England Team s***t vest from the replica aisle at Sports Direct. He even piped our highest performing c class shooter to the top spot (I obviously missed less but shot them all as sim pairs so didn't count my score 🤷😂).

Well done again on Paul's England team selection!!

Ladies tiara goes to Lynne Hardcastle, just a couple of clays behind on a 62!

Full scores are up on the website now, thanks to Izzy while Richard jet sets.

Some excellent shooting across the board today meaning we might have to toughen up the course next week to keep you all on your toes 😂

Thankyou to those putting the extra in both today after Rat ran away and last week setting up while I was in a field drinking beer and listening to Guns n Roses!!

A quick reminder to those that turned up this Wednesday (I won't name and shame) that the next Wednesday evening shoot will be the 1st July. Steve, that's not this Wednesday but the one after!

Finally, happy birthday to Lol and we'll see you all in a couple of weeks with a fresh set of targets to challenge you!

Happy father's day!!
