Route 76 Vale of Clwyd Festival of Real Ales & Ciders - Saturday 9th July 2016 Beer lovers get their kicks on Route 76!

Welcome to the annual Vale of Clwyd Festival of Real Ale and Cider! With 10 Pubs involved this year along with a new bus service, everyone who comes along can be assured to have a fanastic time! A fine selection of real ales and ciders will be on offer in all participating pubs, details of this will be following soon along with info from each pub on food and entertainment on the day/night...first

of all it must be mentioned that there is a new bus company running the beer festival route rather than the actual route 76 bus! The following pubs are all involved in this years festival:

Three Pigeons Inn - Graigfechan
The Griffin Inn - Llanbedr
The Golden Lion Inn - Llangynhafal
The White Horse Inn - Hendrerwydd
The Golden Lion Inn - Llandyrnog
The White Horse Inn - Llandyrnog
The Kinmel Arms - Llandyrnog
The Kings Head - Llanrhaeadr
The Drovers Arms - Rhewl

More information is to follow soon! But what is certain is that there will be a fantastic range of beers and ciders on offer from all! Ranging from nationals to local micro brewers, along with all the various things being aranged by the individual pubs...such as day/evening entertainments and food all of this is to follow very soon!

Im sure you are all aware that the Golden Lion Llandyrnog has been closed since 6th January and I put it up for sale hoping that someone would buy it to keep the tradition of the Golden Lion being the heart of Llandyrnog, I did have a potential sale on the place to some local people however due to Coronavirus 19 this made it virtually impossible for such a deal to go through. I would like to announce that I and Mark Roberts have come to an agreement to open the Golden Lion very soon. There is no sale or tenancy in place, I felt that Llandyrnog needs the Goldie open and we both are going to give it a go again and see how it all works out. Lots to sort out with such a small pub regarding regulations to comply with the COVID-19 conditions in a hospitality venue but I’m sure we can overcome these with the help of our customers. I will update you all as an when we know more

Great People Wanted

The Griffin Inn will reopen next month and we need awesome people to join us to ensure our customers enjoy a great experience.

Front of House Team: serving our customers with a smile and good grace, you will need to be kind, efficient and organised, we believe in a high level of service. The hours will include evenings and weekends, we work when most people are relaxing.

Kitchen: We are seeking a quality second chef to work alongside Simon the Head Chef. The food is a mix of high quality British traditional and modern, taste and presentation are the keywords. We may also take on an apprentice chef so if a career in a commercial kitchen is your passion we may be able to help. It's long anti social hours in a hot and pressured environment so no wilting daffodils should apply.

Housekeepers. We will be offering B&B in 6 ensuite bedrooms and will need people to clean and change the rooms. Obviously weekends will be included but a rota should leave every other weekend free. Ideal for Mums with schoolchildren as long as you have school holidays covered because these are the busier weeks.
