Guess what?! Yep, and it's a good job I have two ponies because it's twins!!
We were planning on doing all our shows up until mid July, when Emma Tytherleigh and her Dog and Pony Comedy Show would be taking over the rest of our season. However, after doing just one show at Easter you may have seen we unfortunately had a lorry fire on the way to our next show. Thankfully I got everybody out and safe, but the lorry is a write off, along with a lot of my props and kit. Huge thanks again to Ben Atkinson who stepped in and covered for me with less than 24 hours notice!
Heartbreakingly it just wasn't possible for me to replace the lorry and rebuild everything with only a couple of months work to go, so Emma has taken over earlier than expected!
I'm so grateful to everyone who reached out to check in on us after the fire, and also to all our lovely show organisers who have been incredibly understanding. It's the first time in over twenty years that I haven't got to a show I've been booked for.
I'm absolutely gutted not to be out and about this summer, but I suppose I can say we went out in a blaze of glory - or a glorious blaze at least!
To say this year has been a roller coaster already is an understatement, and come August/September time it's going to get even busier!
Hopefully we'll be back out on the show circuit at some point, and maybe even with a rider each for Rolo and Sprout!
