Join us for an exciting few weeks ahead at Franklin Voices, with two fantastic performances coming up this June.

We’ll be celebrating at Include Choir’s 10th Birthday Concert and performing at the Franklin Music Summer Gala as part of the Reigate Summer Festival.

This season feels particularly special as we’re performing alongside our new live band, made up of musicians from the Franklin Music community. There is something wonderful about bringing singers, instrumentalists, volunteers, families and audiences together through live music.

Franklin Voices is about much more than rehearsals and concerts. It is friendship, laughter, support, community and a shared love of making music together. We are pleased to be part of Franklin Music Centre and grateful to work alongside partners such as Include Choir and many local organisations that help make these events possible.

We’d be delighted to welcome you to these special events. Whether you’ve supported us before or are discovering Franklin Voices for the first time, come along, bring your friends and family, and experience the energy, connection and joy of live music with us. Your presence helps make these celebrations even more meaningful, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

We LOVED singing with a live band, and our new song ‘the flood’ sounds brilliant with them!

Hi everyone,

A little local shout out…Photos needed please.

We’ve been working on Redhill Rising, a community music project with local schools and young people, and we’re now putting together a lyric video for the final song.

Here are just a couple of things local children have said during the project:

“It makes me feel proud that we’re here.”
“Redhill isn’t just a place, it’s a community.”

We’d love to include photos of Redhill and the surrounding local area, both past and present, especially places and moments that reflect the people, history and everyday life of our community.

That could include Earlswood, Meadvale and Merstham, as well as old street scenes, local landmarks, schools, community spaces, family photos, or anything that captures local life.

The project has included Makaton signing and inclusive creative work, and has been supported by local partners and community organisations who care deeply about celebrating this area and the people in it.

If you have any photos you’d be happy to share, we’d love to see them.
Please feel free to DM us or email [email protected]

The final free public performance takes place at The Belfry on 16 April from 11.00am to 11.30am, and it would be so special to include local memories and familiar places in the final film.

Thank you so much.

Why Franklin Voices is a bit different

Franklin Voices isn’t just a weekly choir.

We sing bespoke arrangements written especially for our singers, and we’re proud to be the house choir for the Franklin Music Centre. That means our members are part of a wider creative community, with regular opportunities to perform, collaborate and get involved locally.

Our singers support and take part in:

The Suppertime Concert Series

The Vocal Collective and Musicians’ Collective

Redhill Arts Takeover and Reigate Summer Festival

Major community projects, including Redhill Rising this April

Cross-arts work with Franklin Drama

Some members perform, some volunteer, some help behind the scenes — many do a bit of everything. It’s a friendly, inclusive choir where people make friends, develop musically, and have a good laugh along the way.

If you’re looking for more than just a weekly sing, you’d be very welcome to come and try a session.

This is our adult community choir - you may be happy to know that our Youth Choir is launching this April! for ages 8-18, with opportunities for soloists, performances and with plenty of original music written especially for young singers.

Message us or email [email protected] for details. Join our whatsapp community DM for contact details.

Monday nights - St John's Church Annexe. RH1 6QA. 1930-21.00 £10/session or £25 monthly direct debit. First session free.
