The wait is over... Calamity Jane starts today!

Tonight, we kick off our journey to the wild west as ABOS begins preparations for our February 2027 production of Calamity Jane at The Norbury Theatre, Droitwich.

Whether you've been part of ABOS for years, haven't stepped onto a stage in a while, or have never been involved in amateur theatre before, tonight is the perfect opportunity to come along and see what we're all about.

Tomorrow's the day!

After months of planning behind the scenes, we're finally ready to launch our next production: Calamity Jane!

Tomorrow evening we'll be welcoming everyone interested in being part of our exciting 2027 show at The Norbury Theatre.

Whether you're a performer, a backstage wizard, a costume enthusiast, a set-builder, or simply curious about what ABOS is all about, we'd love to meet you.

Meet the Team Behind Calamity Jane! 🤠

Before we head out onto the prairie, we'd like to introduce the talented team helping to bring Calamity Jane to life!

We're delighted to welcome Andy and Chris to the ABOS ranch. While they may be new faces to our society, they're certainly no strangers to musical theatre, having worked with a range of local societies across the region. They're both excited to be joining the ABOS posse and can't wait to get started with a brand-new team.

Joining them is a familiar face to many ABOS members, Ian, who previously rode to the rescue as Musical Director for our production of HMS Pinafore. We're thrilled to have him back in the saddle for another adventure.

The three of them have worked together before, so there's already plenty of teamwork, experience and a shared passion for putting on a fantastic show. Most importantly, they're all looking forward to meeting both returning members and anyone thinking of joining ABOS for the very first time.

Whether you're a seasoned performer, a backstage sharpshooter, or simply curious about getting involved, we'd love you to join us as we begin our journey to Calamity Jane, coming to The Norbury Theatre, Droitwich in February 2027.
