The fabulous John Ward Trio will be at The Cutty Wren next Tuesday 16th June.
Lively songs with powerful harmonies and outstanding multi instrumental accompaniments.
Accessible and welcoming venue at Redcar Borough Park Bowling Club, Thwaites Lane TS10 2FD.
Doors 7:15pm for a 7:45 start with a few floor singers before two spots from the Trio.

The funeral of Stan Gee will be held on Thursday 18th of June at 12pm at Redcar Cemetery on Redcar Lane.

Stan's daughter Sally invites anyone who wishes to remember Stan to join the family for the graveside service at the Cemetery and/or at The Loftus Club afterwards.

Please feel free to bring instruments and your voices to remember him.

If you know Sally, please tell her if you plan to be there. Alternatively, message us at The Cutty Wren Folk Club and we'll pass on names to Sally so she knows how many people to expect.

Kenny Speirs gave us two great sets on Tuesday evening. Plenty of catchy choruses to sing along with!
Our next guests will be the John Ward Trio on 16th June.
Both Tuesdays between now and then are "singers and musicians nights" - our name for a turn-taking get together where we share songs, tunes and poems. All welcome, whether you want to contribute a piece or two, or just sit back and enjoy what others do.

Kenny Speirs is a sensitive guitarist, singer and arranger, and a well-known figure on the national and international folk circuit for three decades. Kenny was a key member of the John Wright Band, travelling from his beloved homeland of the Scottish Borders to some of the biggest festival stages.

We're at Redcar Borough Park Bowling Club, Thwaites Lane TS10 2FD. It's a fully accessible and welcoming venue, with a reasonably priced bar (good selection of AF drinks).
