Saltburn Folk Festival open to expressions of interest for 2027 from musicians and other folk-themed creatives

Do you see yourself on one of our festival stages, or delivering some folk inspired creative work as part of the Saltburn Folk Festival programme? Ever wondered how to contact our artistic team with your ideas and EPK?

We operate an expression of interest system for artists, in order to avoid approaches being lost in our mailboxes or social media messages. This is now open to EOIs for the 2027 festival!

We want to hear from you if you think you could bring something new to our music programme, or have an idea for folk centred creative delivery in a non- music art form.

Unfortunately, as we receive a significant amount of interest from artists and are a small team, we are unable to respond to all messages and applications to play. However, we do review responses to the EOI form. This is a rolling process, and will be closed when the 2027 programme is finalised.

We get some pretty good guest performers at the Cutty Wren, and we're especially pleased with this booking.
We Mavericks are a highly rated duo (check out their videos) on a short tour of the UK. You can see them in Redcar for just £10 (plus booking fee if you buy your tickets online).
8th September at Borough Park Bowling Club. Get it in your diary and grab a ticket now - link in the comments.
PS if you enjoy seeing We Mavericks at The Cutty Wren Folk Club, there'll be another chance to see them in Saltburn a few weeks later.

We have a Singers and Musicians night on Tuesday 18th August.
All welcome, doors open 7:15 for a 7:45 start. Just a £2 per person donation to cover our costs please - that's great value for a night out, whether you want to share a song. tune or poem or simply sit and listen.
Our definition of "folk" is very broad, so anything with folky roots or performed in a vaguely folky style is fine by us!
We're a friendly and inclusive bunch, and our venue is comfortable and accessible. The bar is reasonably priced and has a good selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Borough Park Bowling Club is easy to find, turn off Redcar Lane at the big red sign for the racecourse.

If you are still around after the wonderful Saltburn Folk Festival, why not pop along to Redcar Borough Park Bowling Club? It's a comfortable and accessible venue and we're a friendly bunch - as you'll know if you came to the singaround we hosted in Lune Street Club

Join us for a singaround with a hotspot from Alison Barnes. Alison has a great repertoire of traditional songs, including ballads with a good quota of death and misery, and preferably a female protagonist putting one over on a dodgy bloke.
Friendly welcome, accessible venue, and a bar with good stocks of both alcoholic and AF drinks. Doors open from 7:15

Next Tuesday, 28th July, we have a singers and musicians evening with a hot spot from Jean Devasagayam.
Jean has an eclectic repertoire (encompassing both serious and silly material) and a lovely expressive voice. She’s a very effective raconteur too, so we'll probably hear one or two of her stories from real life as well!
There'll be plenty of time for other singers, musicians (and poets) to take a turn before and after Jean's extended floor spot.
Doors open 7:15 at Redcar Borough Park Bowling Club. It's a comfortable and accessible venue and all are welcome.
Just a £2 contribution to our costs on the door please, making it a great value night out!
