Most teen activities ask young people to follow instructions.
This one asks them to think.

Our Teen Summer Theatre Project is built around a devised production called IMAGE, exploring the pressures and expectations facing young people today.

Rather than being handed a script, participants will work together to create the performance themselves, developing skills in communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and performance.

Along the way they'll be supported by experienced theatre professionals and work towards a Trinity London Group Acting Award submission.

The result is much more than a week of drama.

It's an opportunity for young people to express themselves, explore important themes, develop confidence and create something they can genuinely be proud of.

For many teenagers, finding a group of like-minded young people who share their interests can be just as valuable as the performance itself.

Looking for something worthwhile for your child this summer?

StageAbility's Summer Drama Camps run from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August, with a theatre performance on Saturday 8th August.

Children spend the week acting, singing, dancing, playing games and creating memories they'll talk about long after the summer holidays are over.

Standard day: 10am-3pm
New for this year: optional extended day until 4pm.

A safe, structured, fun week led by experienced industry professionals.

There is a moment at every Summer Drama Camp performance.

The lights come up. The audience applauds. And children realise what they have achieved in just five days.

That feeling of pride is hard to beat!

StageAbility's 'A Show in a Week' Summer Drama Camps are about much more than putting on a show, though. They're about helping children discover what they are capable of.

Join us this August.

Not all theatre is about playing a character. Sometimes it's about saying something that matters.

This summer, we're creating a brand-new devised theatre piece called IMAGE.

Together we'll explore the pressures, expectations and labels that young people face every day. Social media. Appearance. Success. Fitting in. Standing out.

You'll help create the material, shape the performance and bring your own ideas to the process.

The finished production will be performed in a theatre and submitted for a Trinity London Group Acting Award.

If you enjoy discussing big ideas and creating meaningful theatre, this project is for you.
