A reminder that due to the Bank Holiday & the 1st Tuesday, only the Wednesday evening classes will be running this week. (Anyone who normally attends on Monday morning is welcome to drop in to Wednesday instead). The Absolute Beginners had their first experience of a restart this week with Back To The Start. The main Monday & Wednesday classes learned Love Is A Game, with The Wedding as well for the Wednesday class. The intermediate Tuesday class learnt Fever Dream which proved to be a definite hit!

New dances taught this week were: Northbound Flame (to both AB classes, this introduced the Rumba Box); One More For The Road - an easy one thrown in for the Intermediates this week; and Deeper for the Improvers.
We also recapped the dances taught last week as well as playing a few oldies and requests.

A warm welcome to all our new beginners! We kicked off each class with four dances that introduced a number of the basic steps: Mamma Maria, Stand By Me, The Galway Gathering & Shirts And Skirts. We will be recapping these this week together with a brand new dance.
Meanwhile the Monday daytime main class learnt Light Up My Heart & recapped The Wedding, the Wednesday improvers learnt Hot Country Boy & recapped Light Up My Heart, Stomp 2,3,4 & Role Model, and the Tuesday intermediates learnt Smooth Intention & recapped Role Model, Love Of Dance & Dreaming Of You.

Our second new Absolute Beginners' class will kick off at 9:30am tomorrow, 13 April 2026 at Tilehurst Youth & Community Centre, 23 The Triangle, Tilehurst, Reading, Berkshire, RG30 4RN.

NEW VENUE! Our Wednesday evening Improvers class has now relocated to St Mary's Church Hall in Purley. This class and the Monday morning class will resume this week, but the Tuesday evening Intermediate class will not start again until next week (Second Tuesday). See our website for more details.
