Urban Orchestra Urban Orchestra is free experimental music & sonic workshops for open-minded young musicians (age 16-25)

Urban Orchestra is an open-access music project for open-minded musicians, producers, instrumentalists, composers and performers. It is an inclusive music project model, which allows anyone, from any musical background, at any skill level to engage with each other through a creative experience. The music played by the Urban Orchestra is devised and composed by its members. The project will:
• Enco

urage young people to explore musical forms that they are not familiar with.
• Encourage young people to experiment and improvise.
• Enable young people to devise and compose throughout the process.
• Encourage an exchange of ideas between young people with different musical understandings.
• Develop working relationships between Readipop, Berkshire Maestros, Reading schools and other relevant local agencies.
