We are really pleased to see the return of Epic comedy to the Rec Soc.

The acts are as follows:

Sol Bernstein, the world's oldest living Jewish comedian. Sol is the comic creation of Steve Jameson, claiming to be an 85-year-old legendary comic. Known for his charisma and chutzpah, Sol regales audiences with side-splitting stories and quick-witted one-liners.

Ben Norris has been performing comedy since 1993 and is renowned for his incredibly relaxed stage persona and his innate ability to improvise as well as deliver sharply crafted material. Ben’s TV credits include Mock The Week, The Comedy Store and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, and regularly supports Ed Byrne on tour.

Samantha Day's comedy career kicked off about six years ago, after three decades as an accountant and single mum. She is now delighting audiences around the country, winning multiple awards such as Leicester Comedy Festival Silver Stand-Up Award (2025) and making the finals of Funny Women Stage Award (2025).

We are really excited to finally be counting down to performing Out Of Order, the hilarious farce by Ray Cooney.

When Richard Willey, a Government Junior Minister, plans to spend the evening with Jane Worthington, one of the Opposition’s typists, he does not anticipate finding a dead body trapped in the sash window of his room.

Enlisting the help of his hapless private secretary George Pigden, things go from bad to worse with the arrival of his wife, Jane’s distraught husband, an unscrupulous waiter, a frustrated hotel manager, George’s mother’s nurse and a Spanish maid.

This will be one night that Richard will wish he had actually been at the all-night debate in the House of Commons!
