Get ready to GLOW once again!
After being postponed due to the December winds, the Reading Lantern Parade will now take place on Saturday 15 February, bringing an evening of love and light to Reading town centre.

Anyone who made a lantern at the workshops last year is invited to once again be part of the parade - and there are even a couple of lantern repair workshops in case your lantern needs a bit of TLC before the big day!

And there's even going to be additional lantern-making workshops on the afternoon of the event, so if you missed out the first time round, book a place now!

Due to the extreme weather conditions forecast this weekend we have taken the difficult decision to postpone Reading Lantern Parade due to happen tomorrow (Saturday 7th December at 5pm). Our attendees safety is always our primary concern so we have decided to move the event to early 2025 to be clear of the storm. Thank you to everyone who took part in lantern making workshops over the last month, the community drummers and choir participants, please keep your lanterns safe for the new event date, which will follow soon. We look forward to seeing you all soon and wish you all a safe, warm and dry weekend.
