Today we will be celebrating the life of a former parent and friend of Allied Schools of Dance.

Carey Phillips, mum of Amber, had an enthusiasm, joy and energy that lit up any room. She was a wonderful asset to our school and loved to be deep in the middle of any volunteering. Carey always managed to bring laughter and joy to any occasion and reminded us all that living our lives to the full was of great importance!

Today we celebrate you Carey and will use today to remember you with great fondness!

We send our deepest condolences to Amber and her family! Your Allied family will always be here for you!

Superb Hasindu! I admit to feeling pretty emotional today following the announcement of your second Triple Ten!

A huge congratulations to Hasindu H (training by Allied Schools of Dance) on receiving a Triple Ten for his Global Solo at our National Finals 2026 ✨🏆

This marks Hasindu’s second Triple Ten of the 2026 All England Dance season for this outstanding solo, having also achieved a Triple Ten at our Home Counties Finals in May. What an incredible accomplishment! 🤍

A truly exceptional performance and a wonderful testament to Hasindu’s consistency, talent and dedication. Congratulations on another fantastic achievement! 💫

What a wonderful end to the day!

National Champions at All England Dance Finals!

Our students not only danced their hearts out on stage creating a beautifully elegant atmosphere but they showed their true spirit backstage too!

I am so happy to hear of their team spirit, willingness and camaraderie ! This makes me truly proud!

Well done to everyone who helped this stunning group of dancers achieve their goal! From the performers, teachers and choreographers, to the parents and supporters!

The good news just keeps coming!

This time for Hasindu and Muli with their Intermediate Global Duet.
Our very own All England Dance National Champions!

Muli and Hasindu have been performing together for years now and have a great rapport on stage. They have always been able to show a great commitment to each other which is so evident on stage!
Congratulations to you both and huge congratulations also to their choreographer, Jill, whose many hours of dedication to her research and rehearsal allow our students to be able to perform such beautiful work!

More fabulous news for our Seniors today!

Our beautiful modern ballet quartet became All England Dance National Finals Runners Up today!

So happy for them. They have worked so well together and all the rehearsals finally paid off!

Wow!!! Super proud of our dancers at All England Dance National Finals.

Just gaining the opportunity to perform at this event has been a long two years of work and dedication and how wonderful for them all to go home with a runners up medal!
This has been a favourite piece of many for years and we are often praised for the choreography!

So a huge well done to the dancers, choreographer, all the teachers in the school, costumers and of course the parents!

Super chuffed for you all!

Due to the current heatwave we are making some adjustments to our classes this week in order to account for this.

Water🚰 Please ensure your child comes with a water bottle, we have facilities to refill these when necessary and will be ensuring EVERY child takes on water during their lessons.

Mufti week 👚 this means that the uniform that we would generally expect to be worn will be relaxed this week, in order that the students and teachers may wear something less fitted to allow for more air flow. If the older students would like to wear shorts rather than tights for example, that would be a good choice.

Fans 🪭 If you have any fans that you would be willing to loan during the duration of your child's class that would also be useful.

Lesson pace 🐌 Our lessons will take a much slower pace and we will utilise this time to work on elements of dance that are more sedentary, such as balance. We have some equipment that the students will enjoy learning to use for this.

Breaks 💻 We will take lots of breaks from movement and will use this time to study the repertoire that is required for our Royal Ballet assessments. This will mean that we will be watching short clips of the required ballets and using that to design some of our creative movement too.

Students at Evendons School on Saturday should be looking forward to their class taking place in the air conditioned main hall but should still bring their water and the relaxed uniform will also be fine there too.

😅 It looks like it will cool down a little from Saturday onwards so please assume next week is back to normal unless you hear further from me.
