Whether you have danced before, or are looking to take up a new hobby, we welcome you to join RUBLS! We teach dance at both a social and competitive level.

We take part in the Student DanceSport Circuit and even have our own Strictly Come Reading show!

Hi everyone! I am going to be ordering plain jackets for us to try on! I will be placing the big order on Monday 27th. Once you have tried it on, just message me with the size and I will create a list. I am having to do it on my personal account as RUSU are being a pain with website and I am hoping to have them by the Reading comp for everyone. Payment will have to be made before I the order (poor student alert!). When you message with your order I will give all the details 🫶💜xx

What a weekend RUBLS had at the Bath Winter Friendly hosted by !

An amazing competition with all of our dancers doing especially well! Huge shoutout to our President and Team Captain for not only organising the competition for us, but also winning first place with in the Novice Latin!

📣Introducing your new committee for 2022-2023! 📣 ➡️➡️➡️

Meet your President: Josh James!

Hi guys, my name is JJ and I am a Second Year Modern Languages Student and your President for RUBLS this year. I am also your Team Captain for this year which means I organise all the lessons and organise all the competitions for us!

I am delighted to be your President this year! For RUBLS, I bring years of knowledge on both Ballroom and Latin dancing - trust me, I am a stickler for technique and accuracy! Overall, I am more a Latin dancer, so I choreograph the majority of the Latin dances for us.

Throughout my time as President, I aim to help and guide others to becoming the best dancers they can be and you will regularly see me in practice helping others master steps and perform them to the best of their ability.

My favourite Ballroom Dance is the Tango and my favourite Latin Dances are the Samba and Rumba, howaever I do have a soft spot for more specialist dances such as the Argentine Tango!

Hi I'm Annabel, i'm a 4th year pharmacy student. I'm the Vice President of Rubls! My favourite dance is the Quickstep. My role in RUBLS is to organise our trip to Blackpool for the biggest competition of the year, and to assist JJ, our president. I look forward to seeing you all next year!

Hey, I’m Georgie and I’m in my second year of Clinical Psychology.

I joined RUBLS last year after dancing previously and my favourite dances are the Samba and Quickstep. I really enjoyed our ‘dress as something starting with the the first letter of your name’ social and of course Blackpool weekend! As your welfare rep I aim to make sure everyone feels comfortable and has the best time dancing so come and say hi :)
