Today's prompt: : favourite tool

I don't really have a "favourite" tool as such - but I do love my old wooden book-binding press, which I bought second hand from Facebook marketplace 7 years ago. Since I've had it, it's been used for printing lino blocks, flattening cockled prints and more recently for pressing and drying my growing collection of chlorophyll prints on leaves! In fact, the leaves have rather taken over and I need to invest in a proper large flower press as the one I have is very tiny!

I totally adore Mary Fedden's work and this book is an absolute gem that never fails to reach me, both creatively and emotionally. Here's a short flip-through I wanted to share with you - I hope you enjoy it. It's an out of print book but well worth tracking down and investing in a copy - you won't regret it ❤️

Work in Progress? Honestly - my whole creative practice is a work in progress!

And that's the way I love it! The excitement of exploring different processes will never leave me. I'm currently working on 2 new books, which I can't yet speak about in any detail - apart from that they're both due to be published next year - in March and June 2027 respectively! Should be a big year for me! ✨
