Happy to our American cousins! We wanted to celebrate with you by celebrating the weapons that made the War of Independence. Alongside the musket and the bayonet rifle, the war was won through the use of a range of close range and hand to hand weapons.

Battles like Guilford Courthouse were decided in bloody hand-to-hand combat where bayonets, swords, and axes were used. Riflemen, having no bayonets, relied on knives and tomahawks. Swords were widely used during the war. Infantrymen used hangers, while their officers carried short sabers, and cavalry swords were also popular.
