The ScrapStore at EKM The ScrapStore @ EKM saves safe, clean ‘scrap’ craft materials from landfill. suggested donation of £5. All money is raised for East Kent Mencap.

We welcome visitors to browse and put together a basket of craft materials for a min. We are open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10am to 2pm. Our address is:
Foresters Hall, Meeting Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9RT. The entrance to the ScrapStore is in the dead end of Meeting Street, please ring the doorbell at the big red doors. There will be a sign hung on the railings outside the doors. Please do not use the main East Kent Mencap entrance which has a window in the door.

Look at these amazing bright pink fringed curtains that were donated to The ScrapStore last week! 🩷

A few have already found new homes, but we still have some left, each measuring roughly 4m wide x 1m long. They could be perfect for events, festivals, cabarets, theatre productions, parties and plenty more.

A little note from The ScrapStore 🩷

As a small team, supported by our wonderful volunteers, we're currently at capacity and need to make a small change to how we manage enquiries.

All enquiries about our stock will now need to be made in-store, and unfortunately, we're no longer able to hold items back. Our social media messages aren't monitored every day, so the best way to find out what's available is to visit us in person.

Our stock changes all the time, so we also can't guarantee that items featured on social media will still be available.

You are welcome to visit us anytime Wednesday to Saturday, 10-2.

The ScrapStore book section is bursting at the seams with inspiration! We have hundreds of books covering all sorts of crafts and creative skills - from crochet and quilting to upholstery, sewing, knitting and plenty more in between.

Whether you’re an experienced crafter looking for your next project or fancy learning something completely new, pop in and have a browse! You’ll be sure to find a gem.

Metres and metres of satin and velvet two-way stretch fabric have been donated and are now available. It's ideal for dance costumes, theatre productions, set dressing, dressmaking and all sorts of creative projects.

A huge thank you to everyone who has responded to our recent donation callout and helped keep our shelves stocked with treasures like this.

We're always happy to receive clean creative materials (unless we've said otherwise), so if you're planning a clear-out and have fabrics, craft supplies or other creative resources to donate, please get in touch.

Pop in and see what you can find. We're open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am-2pm at Foresters Hall, Meeting Street, Ramsgate.
