BAM - ELUTec

BAM - ELUTec ELUtec is a new University Technical College (UTC) for East London and Essex for14 to19 year olds looking to specialise in engineering or design.

To create it, BAM is part refurbishing and partly building a new extension to the existing Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence, CEME, which is a world-class research, skills, education and business campus in Rainham, East London. The £5m ELUTec campus will be a modern purpose built facility focused on the needs of students and developed to support them through their time at the Col

lege. Providing industry standard facilities for engineering and product design, we will build:

Fully equipped classrooms
Industry standard workshops
Rapid prototyping facilities
Learning resources centre
Restaurant
Gymnasium and sports hall

CEME is unique in linking education to business, helping to improve the skills and prospects of local people enabling them to find employment within the manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors and increasing the economic contribution of local businesses.
