From walking all the way to older adults, we are proud to be a national award winning, non-exam based, covid-secure, community dance school. What we offer can be split into 3 categories:

🏆MAY DANCERS OF THE MONTH🏆

A huge round of applause and well done to our May dancers of the month who received their certificates recently.

As we near the end of term, we are so proud of the development and progress made by each and every one of our dancers.

Congratulations to our dancers who received awards this month for excellent attitude in class, brilliant development in technique and performance, perseverance with tricky steps and consistent hard work and dedication.

We are so proud of you all!

🏅 JUNIOR MEDAL & AWARDS DAY 🏅

What a truly wonderful day we had yesterday watching and celebrating our Junior dancers!

With 113 dances performed, the room was filled with confidence, pride, encouragement and so much joy as our Juniors performed solo on stage – for many, their very first time! 🩰✨

These days are always about so much more than medals – they’re about building self-belief, celebrating progress, and watching each dancer shine in their own way. And shine they absolutely did. 🌟

A huge thank you to our special guests Miss Libby and Miss Ella, who gave such thoughtful, encouraging and constructive feedback throughout the day.

At AMC, these awards are non-competitive and non-scored. Dancers work their way up their own achievement ladder, aiming only to improve themselves and celebrate their personal progress. 💛

And it doesn’t stop there… in just a few weeks it’s the turn of our PreIntermediates, Intermediates and Seniors, with a total of 301 awards to present this month – our biggest medal and awards season ever! 🤯✨

We couldn’t be prouder of every single AMC dancer. 💙🖤

✨️ SPACES ON SATURDAYS! ✨️

We've got a handful of spaces available in our wonderful Toddler Toes class this Saturday morning!

Toddler Toes is our grown-up-and-me class for confident walkers to 3.5 years, designed to introduce little ones to the magic of dance, music and movement in a fun, nurturing environment. 💃🕺

Each week we dance, sing, explore props, build confidence, develop social skills, and most importantly - have lots of fun!

The class is taught by Miss Adele, who has been leading Toddler Toes for over 15 years. Every dancer receives an achievement card and can earn badges and certificates along the way, celebrating their dancing journey from their very first class. 🌟

We rarely have spaces available, so classes are usually booked in blocks. However, we've made an exception and opened up a limited number of one-week trial places this Saturday, giving new families the opportunity to come along and see what we're all about.

🌈 IMPROVERS BALLET 🌈

What a joy it has been exploring and putting together this gentle lyrical ballet piece with our Adult Improvers Ballet Monday and Tuesday groups.

I welled up numerous times watching them dance this with such grace and feeling. Bravo everyone 👏

👞 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL TAP DANCE DAY 👞

Tap is such a huge part of life here at AMC 💙🖤

From our younger School of Dance pupils learning their very first shuffles and time steps, to our incredible Seniors creating complex rhythms and combinations. Our brilliant Adult Beginners and Improvers classes discovering or rediscovering their love of dance. To our joyful Seated Tap classes, and the very special seated tap sessions we take into care homes and community settings - tap dance is for everyone!

There’s something so magical about tap dance. Not only do you move to music… you create it too. 👞🎶

Rhythm, confidence, expression, teamwork, musicality, joy, laughter and LOTS of noise - tap brings all of that and more.

Today we’re celebrating every single tap dancer in our AMC family and to our many friends beyond. Keep making music with your feet! 💫
