🎥 The Beach of Dreams documentary is now live.

Created by filmmaker Fotis Begklis and two years in the making, the film traces Beach of Dreams’ journey around the UK coastline in 2025, capturing the stories, landscapes, artworks and communities that shaped this ambitious national project.

We were delighted to celebrate the film’s premiere at the RSA in London alongside Julie Brook's Tide Line films and Telling & Retelling Dungeness, directed by Sophie Austin. The evening concluded with a Q&A between Fotis, Sophie and Ali Pretty, expertly chaired by Nour Saleh FRSA, exploring the power of walking, creativity and connection to place.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our brilliant filmmakers, partners, artists and collaborators who helped bring these stories to life.

Film by Fotis Begklis, in collaboration with the regional filmmakers: Charlotte Ginsburg · Mark Hannant · TAPE Community Music and Film · Will Connell · Chuck Blue Lowry · Stephen Hurrell

Meet the artists helping us see Thurrock differently.

This year’s T100 Festival commissions bring together storytellers, movement artists, poets, gardeners, graffiti pioneers and outdoor theatre makers to create bold new experiences across Thurrock.

→ Essex walk leader and storyteller invites audiences beyond the beaten path through an immersive journey into Thurrock’s hidden histories and landscapes.

→ Basildon-born graffiti pioneer Scotty Brave transforms the riverside into an open-air gallery, sharing over 20 years of spray-can artistry rooted in youth work, education and street culture.

→ Writer and gardener Rachel Morgan , based in Southend-on-Sea, brings poetry, planting and reflection together in our Natural Dye Garden, creating space to slow down, write and reconnect outdoors.

→ Purfleet-based movement artist Aditi Kaushiva explores wellbeing, breathwork and joyful movement in a very special sensory Meandering Monday.

→ And outdoor theatre maker Nigel Munson of turns the Thurrock Estuary into a live unfolding performance where landscape, storytelling and imagination collide.

Alongside these newly commissioned artists are exciting events by long-standing volunteers, partners and communities who have shaped T100 for the past 12 years – bringing local knowledge, warmth and stories to every walk and encounter.

Over 65 walks have taken place worldwide since 3 April – answering a shared invitation to walk in solidarity with communities along the Lebanon Mountain Trail.

Thank you for walking, sharing, and carrying stories from Lebanon communities forward.

Pictured walks:

🇫🇷 In Die, France, 30 people across four generations walked side by side – reflecting on migratory birds connecting Lebanon and France, and the freedom of movement they represent – organised by Azul Thomé

🇱🇧 In Lebanon, hikers from France, Belgium and Lebanon explored the Jaj Nature Reserve – part of the Lebanon Mountain Trail network

🇪🇸 In Madrid’s Sierra de Guadarrama, Javi Gras led a walk asking: What is sacred? Where are we going?

🇮🇹 In Verona, Annalise Mercuri walked along the River Adige, creating cyanotypes along the way

🇨🇦 In Toronto, 59 Canadian Friends of the Lebanon Mountain Trail walked the Yellow Creek Trail, organised by Wafaa El-Osta

🇹🇷 In Turkey, over five days, artists, walkers and storytellers walked the Lycian Way, tracing ancient paths

The world, as seen through each other’s steps. Happy

Since 3 April, over 60 walks have unfolded across the world – quiet moments of reflection, gathering, connection.

Through Walk with Lebanon: Mountains of Hope, your images carry these landscapes between us.

Thank you for walking, sharing, and being part of this collective journey.

The earth is not just where we are, but how we care for it – together.

The path is made by walking.

From 3–7 April, artists and storytellers walked the Lycian Way in Turkey – carrying silks in solidarity with communities along the Lebanon Mountain Trail Association (LMTA) جمعية درب الجبل اللبناني.

Across landscapes and borders, we return to five questions first asked by Bertrand Russell and revisited by Rutger Bregman:

Who are we?
Where did we come from?
Where are we going?
How should we live?
What is sacred?

The path is made by walking.

Great to join Colours of Redbridge for Rediscover Redbridge – showcasing our 3-metre silk fans and community-created pennants at Redbridge Library as part of a vibrant celebration of local creativity.

Alongside pennants made by eleven incredible community groups, our mobile silk fans were brought to life once again by and . Developed through a series of hands-on community workshops, these works used silk-painting and wax-resist techniques to create a design inspired by the natural world.

It’s special to see Colours of Redbridge’s journey continue – with these artworks returning to a shared public space and connecting back to the communities who made them.
