SAVE THE DATES!!!

We are delighted to announce that Probus Art Exhibtion 2026 dates have been confirmed! The exhibition will run during normal church times 10am to 4pm, apart from Sunday when the exhibition will open after the morning services, until 4pm.

JULY 2026

Artist drop off: Monday 20th July 9am to midday.
Thursday 23rd July: Open evening.
Friday 24th July: Public viewing.
Saturday 25th July: Public viewing.
Sunday 26th July: Public viewing.
Artist collection: Sunday 26th July 4pm to 6pm.

Please email Vanessa to express an interest in exhibiting or helping during the exhibition.

Offers of help would also be greatly appreciated for:

*Re painting the display boards (this will start before 20th July).
*Setting up and taking down the display boards.
*Help during the exhibition, greeting the public and recording sales.
*Donations of cakes/biscuits and yummy treats (gluten free? 😊).
*Serving teas/coffees and cakes.

Artist drop off: TBC but likely Sunday 5th October.
Thursday 9th October; Open evening.
Friday 10th October: Public viewing.
Saturday 11th October; Public viewing.
Sunday 12th October afternoon; Public viewing.
Artist collection: Monday 13th October.

On the evening of Saturday 11th October the fantastic Mevagissey Male Choir will be performing. This will be a ticketed event and more details will be announced asap.

This Saturday at 2pm is Probus Church’s annual Christmas Fair! Always a popular event with delicious cakes, a fantastic bottle stall, fun for children, tombola, games and much more! 🪇🧁🍰🍿☕️🫖🍼🥤

It is an honour to work for the fabulous Merlin - Cornwall's Neuro Therapy Centre Team!!!!❤️❤️❤️

Welcome to the newest member of our team Vanessa, who joins us as a part-time oxygen operator. She is no stranger to oxygen therapy, having used it herself at Merlin since 2015.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys volunteering for her local magazine. She has also recently graduated from Arts University Plymouth with a first-class honours degree in 3-D craft and design!

On weekends, Vanessa can be found with her family or in her glass studio, planning various workshops and spreading her passion for fused, painted and traditional stained glass.

Our wonderful village community continues to amaze with their generosity. Local artist John Cadle sold a painting today that was exhibited over the weekend  at the Church. John has asked for the sale to be included in our final total. So our NEW final total is £3115.33! 🙏👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Thank you all to everyone who has supported this year’s amazing Art Exhibition Event, which was brought to an unforgettable finale last night, with the Mevagissey Male Choir.
After a day of number crunching, we have some fantastic news to share. We have raised the money with your generosity through the art sales, delicious refreshments, raffle, a donated replica of Probus Church from Louise Dawe and a beautiful painting from Dave Handcock, as well as the fabulous final evening with the amazing Mevagissey Male Choir!
Our final amount raised is;£2,592.83 !!
PLUS
The Hanson Charity Match of £500 !!!
Totalling to a phenomenal £3,092.83 !!!! UPDATE £3115.33!!
Also a HUGE thank you to all our amazing volunteers who made this event so awesome! We could not have achieved this without you all! Dave, Sheila, Chris, Issy, Caroline, Andy, Eleanor, Steve, Colleen, Ann, Beryl, Neil and all the wonderful ladies and gents who kept the delicious cake, coffee and tea flowing.🥰🙏
