Today marks 19years as the Principal & Owner of Stage Plus 🩷🖤💚
It started when I covered maternity leave for a year, but becoming the owner of Stage Plus at just 24 was huge! I remember the excitement and fear and every emotion in between. Emotions I have felt over and over again throughout the years watching and supporting students become fabulous human beings. Some that I have the pleasure of supporting and celebrating with still now. I’ve had the privilege of watching young dancers take their very first steps, grow in confidence, discover their potential, and achieve things they never thought possible.
This school has been so much more than a workplace—it has been my second home and my extended family. Every class, performance, exam, competition, and shared moment has helped shape the journey.
Running a business certainly has its up and downs and moments if I wonder if I can do it anymore. Moments where I am so proud of myself and the whole school and others where I feel like I’ve not done enough. Still a learning curve every day and still something I want to keep pushing forward with.
To have dreamed of running a dance school and then to have lived that dream through every stage of these past 19 years has been overwhelming, joyful, and incredibly rewarding. To every student, parent, teacher, and supporter who has been part of this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your trust, encouragement, and belief in what we do have made all of this possible and so very special. ✨
