🎭 COMPANY: WHICH VERSION IS YOUR FAVOURITE? 💍🍸

Few musicals have been revived and reimagined quite as often as Stephen Sondheim’s Company.

From the original Broadway production, through the acclaimed 1995 Donmar Warehouse revival, the 2006 Broadway production starring Raúl Esparza, the 2011 New York Philharmonic concert production with Neil Patrick Harris (can you spot the Oscar winning ensemble member?), the gender-swapped revival with Rosalie Craig in London, or even the 2022 Spanish production starring Antonio Banderas, every generation seems to find its own Company.

So, Sondheim fans… which production of Company is YOUR favourite, and why?

Is there a particular Bobby you loved? A version of Being Alive that has never been bettered? Or simply a production whose interpretation of the show really connected with you?

We’d love to hear your choices, because from September 29th to October 3rd, we’ll be performing our own version of Company ❤️

ACT NOMINATIONS 2026! 💗✨

We are absolutely thrilled to announce PADOS’ nominations for the 2026 ACT Youth and Drama Musical Awards!

It is always such an honour to have the hard work, dedication and creativity that goes into every production recognised. Each show is a true team effort, and these celebrations give us the chance to share our love of theatre together.

As always, we are incredibly grateful to our ACT representative, Rebecca. It is always a pleasure to welcome you to our productions, and we truly appreciate your continued support and encouragement.

We are so proud of everyone involved and can’t wait to celebrate these wonderful achievements! 🎭

🎭 URGENT CASTING CALL — LARRY in COMPANY

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we're looking for someone to join our cast as Larry in PADOS's upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim's Company.

Larry is Joanne's husband — charming, sophisticated, good-humoured, and (somehow) unfazed by his formidable wife. It's a brilliant character role with real standout moments, especially his featured section in Sorry-Grateful.

We're just 5 weeks from opening, so we need someone musically confident, a strong actor, and quick on their feet to slot straight into an already brilliant cast.

📅 Show dates: 29 September – 3 October
🎭 Rehearsals: Mon & Wed evenings, Sun afternoons
📍 PADOS House, Prestwich

Let’s have another couple! 💍

Meet Jenny, played by Daniela Raquel, and David, played by David Livesey! 🎭

Jenny is sensible, sweet and probably the most responsible person in the entire friendship group — which, given this lot, isn’t saying a great deal! 😂 She somehow manages to stay calm while chaos unfolds around her.

David is warm, easy-going and wonderfully unbothered. He may not always be the loudest voice in the room, but he’s proof that every friendship group needs someone to keep everyone else grounded.

We asked them a few questions…

🎶 What is your favourite musical?
David: “Very much dependent on my mood — Hamilton and Avenue Q.”
Daniela: “Hamilton and Avenue Q.”

🎵 What is your favourite musical song from Company?
David: “Sorry-Grateful.”
Daniela: “Being Alive / Side by Side by Side.”

🎭 Why should people come and watch the show?

David: “Great music, humour, characters and it moves along at a good pace — perfect for the fidgets out there!”

Daniela: “Company is such a brilliant show and I genuinely think there’s something in it for everyone. It’s funny, emotional, and full of fantastic music. We’ve all worked so hard bringing our characters to life and would absolutely love to see you there – it’ll be a great night!”

Introducing the next ‘Company’ couple… 💍

Amy and Paul, played by Philippa Shellard and Martin White!

Amy is just hours away from getting married… assuming she actually makes it to the ceremony. She’s overthinking, overwhelmed and providing one of the funniest – and most iconic – moments in musical theatre.

Paul is endlessly patient, genuinely kind and somehow remains remarkably calm despite everything Amy throws his way. If ever there was a man who deserved a happy ending, it’s Paul. ❤️

We asked them a few questions to get to know our next ‘Company’ couple a little better…

1. What is your favourite musical?
🎭 Phil: Company
🎭 Martin: Too many choices! The Book of Mormon is definitely up there.

2. What is your favourite song from ‘Company’?
🎶 Martin: Being Alive
🎶 Phil: Sorry-Grateful

3. Why should people come and watch ‘Company’?
✨ Martin: “It’s a great show that doesn’t get done much. Its themes still resonate with today’s world, and I think everyone can take something away from it.”

✨ Phil: “The score fuses sharp wit with deep emotional truth. Each couple mirrors a dynamic of modern love, forcing audiences to recognise their own relationships or friendships on stage. It also highlights the dual anxieties of intimacy: the suffocating fear of commitment versus the equally suffocating fear of being alone.”

We can’t wait to see Phillipa and Martin bring Amy and Paul to life! Tickets on sale now via the website!
