🎨 Community, Art & Music in Penwortham! 🎶
Penwortham Town Mayor, Cllr Tracey Flannery, had a wonderful time visiting the Creative Connections Art Exhibition at Penwortham United Reformed Church on Liverpool Road.
The visit started with a lovely performance by the Community Choir, which meets once a month at the church. Local residents Kay and Jeanette shared their stories with the Mayor, explaining how they got involved and how much they enjoy taking part. The choir warmly welcomes anyone from the wider community to join in!
The main event showcased incredible art produced and displayed throughout the beautiful church interior. Family Worker Katie Drew explained how she established 'Creative Connections'—a growing community group that fosters friendship, connection, and health and well-being through art.

Reflecting on her visit, the Mayor said: "What a beautiful, welcoming environment with really interesting people who are doing many interesting things in our community."
