Our October Half Term Workshops are officially LIVE! 👻🧪🕷️

We’ve got TWO days of Halloween fun planned this half term!

🎃 Thursday 29th October

9.30am to 11.30am
Halloween Breakfast at Tatton Gardens, Chorley
Breakfast, crafts, slime and potions
£15 per child

Then we’re heading to Walton Le Dale Community Centre for an afternoon of spooky workshops:

🧪 1.30pm to 2.15pm Potion Making
🕷️ 2.30pm to 3.15pm Creepy Crafts
👻 3.30pm to 4.15pm Spooky Slime Making

£7.50 per workshop or ALL THREE for £15!

🎃 Friday 30th October

9.30am to 11.30am
Halloween Breakfast at Whittle Community Hall
Breakfast, crafts, slime and potions
£15 per child

Our new tutoring term starts next week and we’re so excited to welcome everyone back! 🌟

We also have spaces available for new students. 🙌

If your child could benefit from some extra support, a confidence boost or a little help getting to grips with something they find tricky, now is a great time to get started.

Our aim isn’t just to help children with their schoolwork. We want them to feel more confident in what they CAN do. 💛

Tomorrow it’s officially BACK TO SCHOOL! 📚

Whether your little one is excited to see their friends, feeling a few butterflies, or starting a whole new school adventure, we’re wishing them the BEST first day. 💛
And to all the grown-ups tackling the school run again…

🥹 Where does the time go?!

This popped up in my photos and I couldn’t resist sharing it.

My daughter, aged 4, on her very first day of school… having a little peek through the window with her friends before they went in! 😂💛

She’s 14 now. FOURTEEN! 😭

She was my confident second child and couldn’t wait to get in there and see what was going on! 😂

And what a completely different experience it was to starting school with her older sister…

She had to be physically prised off me, crying, by the headteacher while I walked away and then cried ALL the way home! 😭😂

Same family. Same milestone. Two VERY different first days!

It’s such a reminder that every child handles these big moments differently. Some skip through the doors without a backwards glance, while others cling on for dear life. And sometimes it’s us parents who find it hardest of all! 🥹💛

So, to everyone sending a little one off to school for the first time this week, however that goodbye goes, take the photos, soak it all in and treasure these little moments.

Because apparently you blink… and they’re 14! 🥹😭

Anyone else have a first-day-of-school story they’ll never forget? 😂❤️

We hope you’ve all had a fantastic summer filled with fun, adventures and plenty of memories. 💛

Now there are just a few precious days left before the school bags come back out, the uniforms go on and those early morning alarms make an unwelcome return! 😂⏰

Ruby & Blu Tutoring is back from Monday 7th September! 🎉

Our weekly timetable includes:

❤️ Year 3 – Monday
💙 Years 4 & 5 – Monday
❤️Years 1 & 2 – Tuesday
💙 Year 6 – Thursday
❤️ Years 4 & 5 – Thursday

With sessions covering Maths, English, Phonics and Writing, there’s something for children right across Years 1–6.
