Heal ‘your’ heart and forgive ♥️ It truly IS miraculous 😌
When we pray for those that despitefully use us, we leave room for the Holy Spirit to work in our heart, and theirs. It keeps our heart from bitterness and resentment.
Don’t wait until you “feel” like doing it, because in our own flesh, we never will. Do it now, today, in obedience to the Lord. When we are obedient to Him, THEN, He is able to move and do a mighty work.
Pray for the person that hurt you.
Pray for the one that betrayed you.
Pray for the one that slandered you.
Pray for the one that used you.
Pray for the one that offended you.
Pray for the one that abused you.
It’s important to understand that praying for them doesn’t grant them access to your life. That would require reconciliation. Reconciliation is the act of restoring friendly relations; and it requires participation of both parties. In cases of abuse and trauma, reconciliation is not possible without true, godly repentance from the abuser. And sometimes we are meant to go separate ways.
In Acts 15, Paul and Barnabus had such a sharp disagreement that they parted ways. The Lord used it to further His Kingdom.
Don’t stay stuck in the offense. In obedience, pray for them and watch God move.
📖 Romans 12:14-21
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
