LancsFest burst into colour and culture when Spectrum Association took over the Main Stage! 🌴🩷

I LOVED IT!

A huge thank you to this incredible dance troupe for bringing 50 dancers to Miller Park for a 10-minute mashup packed with energy, colour and personality.

As the organiser, this was genuinely one of my favourite moments of the entire day. Seeing Miller Park filled with local people, watching them showcase their creativity right here in our city, is exactly what LancsFest is about.

To many, it might just look like another event.

To us, LancsFest is a symbol of collaborative arts and organised creativity. It’s a development platform; a place to perform, be seen, try something new and showcase just how much talent already exists on our doorstep.

Spectrum Association alone has more than 150 dancers involved in the association. That says so much about the appetite for culture, dance, arts and performance within our communities — and why spaces for people to perform, create and be celebrated need to be recognised, considered and supported.

A special thank you to Chloe for organising and bringing so many wonderful dancers along to the festival. It’s an absolute privilege to give you the space to come together and show off your talents, right here in the wonderful city of Preston. 💛

Thank you, Spectrum Association - you absolutely brought Miller Park to life on 25th July.

What a year! 💛

The 10th anniversary of was brilliant, despite the horrific wet weather conditions we faced soon after opening the festival gate at 11am, we still brought over a thousand of you into the park to celebrate grassroots arts & culture.

Here's some snippets I managed capture whilst I was frantically running around like a lost chicken 🐥

We hope to be back next year with a new name! 🤞
