Today marks 25 years since the events of September 11th, 2001.
One year ago, PMCS had the immense privilege of being one of the first amateur theatre companies to Perform Come From Away.
The show tells the remarkable true story of what happened in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, when 38 planes carrying thousands of passengers were diverted there following the attacks.
At a time of profound fear and uncertainty, the people of Gander and the surrounding communities welcomed strangers into their homes and offered kindness, comfort and compassion when it was needed most.
As we share these photographs from our production today, we do so with respect for all those who lost their lives on September 11th, for their families and loved ones, and for everyone whose life was forever changed by the events of that day.
Twenty-five years on, we remember them with dignity and respect, while also reflecting on the compassion and humanity shown in the days that followed.
It was a profound privilege for PMCS to have played a small part in sharing that story.
