We are so excited to announce that last week our director Andrew won the ‘Arts & Culture Hero’ at the Proud Preston awards! Andrew works tirelessly in running and performing in Initiate Theatre, creating work for actors, providing theatre in Preston, reaching out to young people interested in drama, and bringing theatre to education as well as much more! Quick note - Jacob was missing from the photos as he has broken his arm! 🏆🍾

Live theatre in school

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Initiate Theatre Company, who performed Macbeth for our Year 11 students and A Christmas Carol for Year 10.

Experiencing these texts performed live, from the gripping final battle of Macbeth to the powerful storytelling of A Christmas Carol, gave students a deeper understanding of character, themes and language beyond the classroom.

A fantastic opportunity that brought literature vividly to life and enriched our students’ learning.

Its always nice to get a gift from an audience member.
Penny at New Park Primary Academy thought Idle Jack could do with some cheering up, after he ran off stage, crying; so she drew him a picture of him and his friends being pirates! Awesome, and greatly appreciated!
