Hey everyone, whilst I'm well overdue an "about the artist" post, I'm not the type of person who makes themself the centre of attention. But I will share this snippet of my story with you. Well he's a pretty Big part of my story.
His name is Benny. Unfortunately I lost my old boy earlier this year and I'm now letting the realisation in; this will be my first Christmas without seeing his furry face at the dinner table in 14 years. I made a promise in his legency that I would continue doing what I do here. As I sit at my studio desk today, with the final 3 dog faces looking back at me from their canvasses, I think of how much of an inspiration Benny Boy was in this arty adventure.
From our daily walks in the local parks, that was the inspiration for many past paintings, to Ben introducing himself to random people, sparking conversations that lead to the unexpected portrait commissions. He was always by my side supporting me in his own crazy collie way.
It will be difficult, it always is, but I will carry on in Ben's name, with the help of your support ❤️ - Chris
