My latest acrylic portrait off the easel takes me back to the team I grew up watching as a young teenager .. the great Turnbull's Tornadoes side of the early 1970s.
Alan Gordon played centre forward in that side and in 1972-73 he was in the running for Europe's Golden Boot, scoring 27 league goals.
Although he cost only £12,000, Gordon's ability with his head was a sight to behold. His header for ' seventh goal against Hearts on New Year's Day 1973 typified his skill in the air.
This portrait on canvas will hopefully be the first of several Tornadoes this year and I'll be adding prints and other merchandise to my Etsy page fairly soon. If anyone has any questions about prints etc, feel free to ask.
