Calling all patrons, members, and supporters! Would you like to make a huge contribution to supporting Preston’s intimate theatre without it costing you a penny?

Preston Playhouse is grateful for support of any kind, and this is your chance to help us. We have been included for a £5,000 Benefact grant for arts, heritage and culture, but we need YOUR nomination in order to be in with a chance of winning it.

📚 The preparation for our opening continues!

📚 Our Library and IT Centre in our temporary home at Preston Guild Hall will be closing from Monday, 18 August as we move the library stock back to The Harris. Our last day of operation will be Saturday, 16 August from 9am - 5pm.

📚 We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but our library services will return for our grand reopening on Sunday, 28 September!

Any younger performers looking to be a Lost Boy in Preston Musical Comedy Society's Christmas production of Peter Pan? They have a workshop/audition event this Tuesday evening. All the details are in the post we have shared. Break-a-leg to anyone going along

Calling all daring young adventurers! Preston Musical Comedy Society is on the hunt for energetic boys aged 9 to 16 to join the wild Lost Boys tribe in our spectacular Peter Pan pantomime. We're seeking actor-singers who love to move - if you can tumble, cartwheel or flip, that's an amazing bonus! Imagine battling pirates, exploring secret hideouts, and bringing Neverland's chaos to life through action-packed scenes.

Join our thrilling audition workshop at PMCS HQ (Unit 1, Pittman Court, Pittman Way, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9ZG) on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025 at 7pm. Just bring your energy and enthusiasm - no preparation needed. We'll have you singing, moving, and tumbling through fun activities with all materials provided.

Rehearsals fit around your schedule with Monday and Thursday evenings plus some Sundays. As a Lost Boy, you'll only attend selected sessions since you're not in every scene. The adventure culminates in 13 magical performances at Preston Playhouse Theatre from 12th to 21st December, where you'll soar through matinees and evening shows.

Anyone loved the idea of being in a pantomime? Nows you chance with Preston Musical Comedy Society as they seek a cast for Peter Pan...Tuesday is workshop night turn up and find out more...everyone is welcome

Attention all dreamers, adventurers, and future stars of Neverland! Your chance to be part of Preston Musical Comedy Society’s magical pantomime *Peter Pan*, written by Tom Whalley, is still within reach – but time is running out. Audition registration closes THIS WEDNESDAY, 25th June!

We need vibrant performers of all ages to bring this spectacular show to life. Are you, or do you know, a young performer ready to take flight as John, Michael, or one of the fearless Lost Boys? These key younger roles are waiting for their stars!

One of our local groups is looking for performers young and old for their pantomime this Christmas at Preston Playhouse Theatre . If you've always wanted to be in panto then get along to their welcome event to find out all the details

AUDITION CALL: PETER PAN THE PANTOMIME – FLY AWAY TO NEVERLAND WITH US!

Preston Musical Comedy Society invites you to step into a world of magic, mischief, and adventure with our upcoming production of Peter Pan the Pantomime by Tom Whalley. This high-flying, swashbuckling spectacle needs a vibrant cast to bring Neverland to life—and that could include you!

Take to the skies as the ever-youthful Peter Pan, or revel in villainy as the flamboyant Captain Hook. Will you join Tiger Lily’s fearless tribe, lounge with the mischievous mermaids, or riot alongside the Lost Boys? (Gentlemen, this is your moment to channel your inner pirate or playful youngster—no experience needed, just energy and enthusiasm!)

We’re also casting Wendy’s younger brothers: John (playing age 14–15) and Michael (playing age 9–10). Whether you’re a teen or simply young at heart, we’d love to see you bring these cheeky siblings to life.

And let’s not forget the scene-stealing Lady Starkey, our fabulous dame, whose antics will have audiences in stitches. Expect outrageous costumes, quick wit, and a barrel of laughs!

Kickstart your journey at our Welcome Event on Tuesday 17th June at 7:30pm at PMCS HQ in Fulwood. Pick up audition materials—including script extracts and songs—meet the creative team, and find your perfect role.
