Our brilliant bards Lucy and Roisin are kicking off the Macbeth schools tour today!

They’re spending the next three weeks bringing Macbeth into schools up and down the country before heading off to sunnier climes next month. A huge thanks to all of the schools who are joining us for ride, and of course to our glorious team…

As You Like It will be our biggest cycling tour ever, currently clocking in at a whopping 1800+ miles. We’re also hugely excited to be visiting venues further afield for the first time in a while as Macbeth hits the road in an all-electric van.

We’re hiring an Assistant Producer for our 2026 season! 📣

If you’re up for joining a team making joyfully sustainable touring theatre we’d love to hear from you! If you know someone who this job would be perfect for, send them our way.

The Assistant Producer will support the day-to-day running of The HandleBards across everything we do - from outdoor cycle touring to community projects and mid-scale theatre tours.

What an absolute joy it has been creating The Tempest in collaboration with our wonderful co-producers .

Thank you to everyone in the gorgeous SN theatre for making us feel so welcomed and cared for throughout the rehearsals and the run ❤️

A huge thank you to our incredible creative and production team for creating such a beautiful, hilarious and heartfelt show that stayed true to our core environmental ethos 💚 🌳

To the fantastic Stage Management Team for keeping us organised and on time, and turning our creative dreams into a reality ☁️ ✨

To our stupendously talented actors, who poured their hearts and souls into every performance and made us laugh till we cried night after night. 💕

We’re hitting the road again in January with our Macbeth schools tour, and there’s still time to get involved!

We’re taking a final round of expressions of interest from schools over September and early October - to be a part of the tour fill out the EOI form (link in our bio) and we’ll be in touch.
