Based in Potton Bedfordshire, under the direction of Douglas Coombes MBE, The Ensemble of Friends is an acappella SATB Chamber Choir, who love to share the enjoyment of quality singing of an impressive repertoire of songs that will suit all occasions. The Ensemble of Friends is an A Ca****la chamber choir based in Potton, Bedfordshire, where we rehearse once a fortnight on a Sunday evening.

Our

extensive and eclectic repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Rogers and Hammerstein, and all our songs are arranged by our director Douglas Coombes MBE.

We are available for hire, for all types of events, generally around the Beds, Cambs, Herts area, but not exclusively.

Applications for membership are always welcome.

Had a wonderful day on Saturday last, along with other members of The Ensemble of Friends as we were the demonstration choir on the annual Conducting Day, held at Homerton College Cambridge with Dr Douglas Coombes under the auspices of HCMS - Homerton College Music Society. We had the full range of experience amongst the conductors - from absolute beginner, to conducting scholar standard and it was a real two-way learning experience, as always. Privileged to be helping towards the development of the next generation of choral leaders.
