Watching their confidence, skills and creativity grow week by week is so rewarding! 🧵✨

I love seeing my ladies inspire each other to give upcycling a go. 👖
It’s wonderful to watch them share ideas, encourage one another, and transform something old into something unique and beautiful.

Good work, both of you 💕🧵

I recently held two one-to-one sewing sessions for a customer’s two granddaughters, who were eager to learn after seeing the beautiful projects their nan had been making since attending my beginners’ course. She now regularly comes along to my weekly classes.

To make things as convenient as possible, I offered to teach the sessions in their own home. They were also able to hire a second sewing machine from me, allowing both girls to sew together throughout the lesson.

Congratulations to both of you on this significant achievement, which enabled you to take them on holiday.

Ali has been busy making a crochet hook holder with a handy zipped pocket as this week’s project.
A practical and stylish way to keep crochet hooks and accessories neatly organised! Well done 👏 🧵

Hayley is upcycling a pair of old jeans into a handy waist bag for her phone and festival essentials, ready for her next festival adventure! 🎶👖

The beautiful floral fabric is a leftover scrap from one of Ali’s projects—proof that even the smallest pieces can be transformed into something fabulous. We can’t wait to see the finished bag!

Another fabulous blouse, made by Marie over a weekend using fabric from Neil’s Fabrics bargain trolley. It’s a wonderful addition to her growing autumn wardrobe and a fantastic example of how far she has come on her sewing journey.

Marie joined my six-week beginners’ course last September and has dedicated a great deal of time to developing her skills, both in class and through regular practice at home. With her previous experience in the fashion industry, she has a real talent for choosing beautiful fabrics that suit her projects perfectly.

I often say, “Practice makes progress,” and Marie is a shining example of just how true that is. Her commitment, enthusiasm, and determination have led to some wonderful achievements, and this blouse is no exception.
