Mr. Hullabaloo's Saturday Morning Drama Club is back ar Flowerfield Arts Centre for another brilliant term!

From Saturday 5 September, young performers will meet every Saturday morning from 11am–12.30pm, with the exciting challenge of staging their very own production of Frozen! ❄️

The term will build towards a final performance for parents and friends, giving everyone the chance to see what the group has been working on.

We’re delighted to be supporting YARN Ballycastle and their next Artist in Residence, Joan Alexander — Proof of Ghosts; The Postal Darkroom.

📷 Taking place 13–19 September, this week-long residency explores photography, absence, grief and ghost stories through making, conversation and participation.

Visitors are invited into Joan’s evolving studio to encounter work in progress, contribute stories of absence and loss at the Ghost Desk, and explore experimental photographic processes using shadow, light and plant pigments.

A wonderful opportunity to step inside an artist’s creative process and see ideas, stories and images develop throughout the residency.

Our Arts Service continues to support the wonderful ‘Alternative Energies’ community project in Ballycastle which begins its new term of free weekly sessions next Wednesday 9 September from 4-5.30pm at Sheskburn Recreation Centre.

Provided in partnership with DU Dance NI, Alternative Energies is an intergenerational dance/movement project which brings together young people aged 14 to 18 years with elders of the Ballycastle area, to meet, chat over a cup of tea, move, share ideas, explore and create dance ideas together.

Benefiting participants physical health, mental and social well-being, participation is absolutely free.
