We’re excited to announce our next Charity Tattoo Flash Day on Friday 18th September!
Following the success of our previous charity events, we knew it was time to do it again.
Did you know that dogs, particularly Beagles, are still used in the UK to test the toxicity of medicines, chemicals, and household and agricultural pesticides? These tests can involve force-feeding tubes and forced inhalation procedures. Large number of Beagles are purpose-bred for laboratories at dedicated facilities across the UK.
Many of these dogs spend their entire lives indoors in concrete kennels designed for hygiene rather than comfort. They rarely experience natural daylight, grass beneath their paws, or fresh outdoor air. Human interaction is often limited to clinical procedures, and the kennel environment can be stressful, noisy, and isolating.
Our first chosen charity is Beagle Welfare UK. This incredible organisation provides a vital lifeline for ex-laboratory Beagles and breeding hounds once they are legally released. Through a network of specialist foster homes, they patiently help these dogs learn how to live in a home, walk on grass, build trust, and overcome fear before finding them loving permanent families.
Our second chosen charity is Camp Beagle, a permanent 24/7 grassroots protest group based outside MBR Acres in Cambridgeshire. They work tirelessly to raise awareness about the breeding of Beagles for animal testing, document the transport of laboratory dogs, and campaign for an end to canine experimentation in the UK.
We’ll be sharing more details as the event gets closer, but you can expect what you know and love from our flash days: tattoos from all of our artists, with a selection of specially designed flash sheets, alongside discounted piercings.
We hope you’ll join us to support these amazing causes, help us raise as much money as possible, and, most importantly, shine a light on an issue that deserves far greater public awareness.
Thank you for your support. 🖤
