Portsmyth Darkfest Darkfest is a celebration of creativity in Portsmouth, UK inspired by the Supernatural Cities Project.

Portsmyth DarkFest is the latest version of Portsmouth DarkFest, a creative and cultural festival exploring all things dark, supernatural, and sinister. Initially inspired by the Supernatural Cities project (www.port.ac.uk/supernaturalcities) at the University of Portsmouth, and working in close collaboration with Portsmouth Writers’ Hub and artists from 1000 Plateaus, the festival brought togethe

r a diverse range of artists, writers, performers, academics, storytellers and paranormal investigators to explore ghost stories, urban legends, crime, horror and history. In 2021 we take this further, encouraging local creatives to join us in developing Portsmyth, a supernatural tale that blends local folklore, history and fiction.
