Come down to Pole Coven on 12 September for our Day of Q***r Joy!

Bring along a top of your choice and create your own movement T-shirt, vest or crop top in our free screen-printing activity. You can also pick up a Q***r Joy print, grab some sweets and stickers, meet the Pole Coven team, enjoy some class trials with their amazing team, and bring a book to swap at our Big Q***r Book Swap – all completely free! Plus more still to come.

We'll also be chatting about what q***r fitness, movement and performance opportunities should look like in Portsmouth, and we'd love to hear your ideas.

Whether you're already part of the community or thinking about trying something new, we'd love to see you.

Drop in anytime between 1pm and 5pm. Please be aware pole, ariel and dance will available in slots, book online to avoid disappointment.Β

Hey babe!

We're opening our first recruitment round for Creative Facilitators.

At Downtown Pompey, we make work with people, not for them. We believe creativity is a tool for connection, heritage belongs to everyone, and the best conversations often start over a cuppa.

We're looking for freelance Creative Facilitators to join us in delivering community-led creative projects across Portsmouth. You'll be someone who can hold space, spark ideas and help people tell their stories in ways that feel authentic, playful and meaningful.

We're particularly interested in hearing from artists, makers, performers and facilitators who care about inclusion, collaboration and creating spaces where people feel welcome exactly as they are.

If you're excited by participatory arts, community storytelling and doing things a little differently, we'd love to hear from you.

Today we're giving a big round of applause to our incredible Fareham Pride performers!

From our outstanding host with the most, , to the soothing sounds of ✿ π’„π’‚π’•π’‰π’š π’Œπ’Šπ’ ✿, the bubblegum pink princess dream that is πŸ’–Elly BabyπŸ’–, the poetic prose of Han Newton, and the guitar grooves of Robynne Calvert | Musician | Teacher And of course, the incredible BSL interpretation provided by Downtown favourite Kris Burrows.

We were incredibly proud to showcase a range of q***r performers who live in, or grew up in, the local area at Fareham Pride.

And last, but of course never least, the team, our partners, and the big pink shed!

None of this would have been possible without the incredible Downtown team, our artist facilitator Samo white, and the support of Fareham Live.

The big pink shed became a space to connect, reflect and share. Visitors left messages on tags while Mister Samo captured thoughts and memories from the day directly onto the shed itself, creating a beautiful centrepiece for the event and a lasting reminder of Fareham's first Pride.

What a gorgeous day it was. Full of sunshine, celebration, community and so much joy. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make a little bit of local history. πŸ’–

It's hard to believe the very first Fareham Pride was almost a week ago. We had the most incredible time celebrating with you all and soaking up the sunshine while enjoying some amazing performances.
