Happy Father's day! Some animal Dad's have some fascinating ways to protect their young. From the famous Seahorse dad's who incubate and birth their young to the Arowana's who carry their young around in their mouth and even sometimes refuse to eat until they are ready to venture forth on their own. Today! If you're heading down to the seafront for Armed Forces Day, pop in and see us 🐟

💸Defence Discount card holders can get 15% off their ticket at the aquarium. Just bring your card along and show it on the till when purchasing your tickets.

Our tickets last all day, meaning you can drop in and out whenever you like. Explore sharks, stingrays, lobster, clownfish, turtles and so much more, including all our regular talks and feeds.

Ticket discount is purchasable on the door only, and usable on the 20th June only.

Please note, temporary road closures along Clarence Esplanade will be in place for the event on the 20th June. Customers visiting us on the day may need to make alternative travel arrangements. Visit our home page to find more information.

Declan Rice and our twait shad have both made it the first 10km together and are now spending some downtime at WWT Slimbridge to admire the flamingos.

Over the course of a world cup, the average Declan Rice will run around 80km if they play all 8 matches. Which coincidentally is the distance a Twait Shad swims to reach their spawning ground in Bewdley from the Severn Estuary! So the most important question being asked this world cup season. Can Declan Rice make it as a far as Twait Shad? We'll be tracking both of their progress over the coming weeks!

Our ocean is amazing! It holds around 97% of earth's water which is approximately 1.338 billion cubic kilometers. It's almost impossible to visualise but if someone pulled the plug on the ocean and it drained at a jaw-dropping 10 million cubic metres per second. It would still take over 4,000 years to empty! Looking after our ocean is essential not just to our survival, but the survival of all of the creatures that inhabit our beautiful earth.
