Small woven piece made mostly with my own handspun yarn (except for the light green). I sewed in pieces of seaglass and tiny stone chips to add texture. Inspired by soft landscapes, moss, and shoreline finds 🌿

I haven’t shared much online lately - not because nothing is happening, but because I’ve been deeply wrapped up in rediscovering weaving.

Experimenting with spinning my own yarn from wool, playing with textures, painting, and supporting PHAS (Portsmouth and Hampshire Art Society) behind the scenes has taken most of my creative energy in the best possible way.

What fascinates me most is how the textile looks completely different in every kind of light - changing mood, depth and colour throughout the day.

I’m trying to make as much as I can myself, using raw wool or working with what I already have at home, even yarn made from a cut-up old jumper. I love sustainability of letting materials have a second life.

The only thing I’m still missing is sea glass — so if anyone has suggestions for the best beaches for the hunt in southern England, I’d love to hear them, I’d be very grateful šŸ¤
