New bow tie alert!
Well, as you can see, I've finally got round to making some of my own bow ties again!
And would you believe this is actually just one bow tie?
Thanks to a little quirk in the pattern, and depending on how I tie it, I can get several completely different looks from the same bow tie.
One bow tie. Multiple personalities. 😁
Now I just need to decide which version is my favourite...

I had the best day today making balloons at the amazing Landport Adventure Playground's 50th Birthday celebration. 🎈🥳

This one was extra special because I used to play here myself when I was about 8 years old. I have so many happy memories of this place, so it was an absolute privilege to come back all these years later and be part of such a fantastic celebration.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, queued so patiently, and let me make balloons for you. Happy 50th Birthday, Landport Adventure Playground! Here's to many more years of inspiring children to play, explore and make wonderful memories. ❤️

A new blog post is up! …and this one started from a conversation over coffee. 🎈

I have been thinking about something I get asked all the time at events: "How long will this last?"

It led me to think about temporary art, memories, and why sometimes the things that don't last can be the things we remember most.

This post includes the story behind one of my favourite Twisted Cinema sculptures, my balloon version of Lady and the Tramp, and a visit to the Tower of London to see Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red.

As always, my blog posts are completely free. I'm gradually moving them from Blogger to Patreon, creating one home for everything I do – from stories and reflections to tutorials, projects and behind-the-scenes content.

Today I had the honour of working at the incredible Alpine Formula One Team headquarters in Enstone, Oxfordshire. 🎈🏎️
It was a fantastic day filled with all sorts of balloon sculptures, including plenty of F1 cars... and, rather surreal, making them right alongside Fernando Alonso's actual race car!
What an unforgettable venue to spend the day twisting balloons.

I had an absolute blast today making balloons at the amazing Home-Start Portsmouth summer fun day in Victoria park. And wow was it a busy and successful event. So sorry to anyone who missed out on a balloon, there were just so many people at the event. Thanks to the team at Homestart, you were all awesome.
