Yesterday I did my balloon art talk for the 88th time… and I still get just as excited every single time 🎈

My balloon talk—sharing the creativity, history, and a few surprises from the world of balloon twisting with a brilliant audience.

What made this one extra special was having my friend Karla there to watch and capture these moments. It’s not often I get to have someone from the industry see this side of what I do, and it really meant a lot.

These talks have become one of my favourite parts of my work—showing that balloons aren’t just decorations… they’re storytelling, performance, and years of craft all rolled into one.

Thank you for the kind words, the laughs, and for letting me share what I love doing.

I’m sat here watching the Artemis astronauts aboard Orion sweeping around the Moon, and it’s got my imagination drifting a little closer to home… to balloons.

Over the years, I’ve found myself coming back to the Moon again and again. There’s just something about it, mysterious, magical, and perfect for a twist or two.
Here’s my balloon take on a few lunar legends:
Apollo 13
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
A Trip to the Moon (1902, Georges Méliès)
…and because I couldn’t resist adding a splash of swirling night sky magic—my version of Van Gogh’s Starry Night too.

Behold… the Easter bunny has levelled up 🐰🎈
This morning’s Parkrun featured this absolute unit of a balloon bunny, proudly worn on my back as I bounced (literally and emotionally) around the course. Equal parts festive, ridiculous, and surprisingly aerodynamic.
