At a time of wildfires and record-breaking heat, this song feels more important than ever. 🌍

Recorded live on a phone and sung by children aged 5–12 on Southsea Beach as part of Theatre of the Sea - celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday and the centenary of Portsmouth receiving city status.

Our young people hope that Portsmouth can come together and do its part to tackle climate change, but real change will need the whole world to act together.

We are delighted to once again be a partner of the Portsmouth Youth Awards, celebrating the achievements, talents and contributions of incredible young people from across our city.

Each year, URBOND brings together some amazing local organisations for an inspiring evening of celebration and entertainment. TYC is proud to present an award and invite members of our community to join us. As always, we’ll soon be asking our members for nominations and arranging a big TYC trip so that we can attend and celebrate together!

A huge thank you to our brilliant summer team 💙

One of the things we’re especially proud of at TYC is creating opportunities for young people to step up, lead, develop their skills and share what they know with younger children and this week was such a lovely example of that in action.

Our team brought so much energy, patience, creativity and encouragement to the week, helping 30 children sing, dance, act, build confidence and create a performance they could be really proud of.

For us, these weeks aren't only about the opportunities we create for the children taking part. It’s also about creating meaningful opportunities for the young people working alongside them — giving them real responsibility, experience and the chance to become the next generation of creative leaders.

We are so proud of Portia, Reanna, Carrie, Daniel and Cerys and everything they brought to the week. 💙

And an extra thank you to Portia for leading the team, organising the HAF side to make the week accessible and keeping everything running so brilliantly.

Young people supporting young people.
Skills being shared.
Confidence growing on both sides.

🎭 Congratulations to all of the brilliant performers who took part in our Musical Madness Show Week! 🎶✨

We are so proud of everything you achieved in such a short space of time. The singing was outstanding, the energy was incredible, and you worked together to create a fantastic final performance for your families.

What a wonderful week with such an amazing group of young people. 💙

When you ask 5–9 year olds what screams Portsmouth… apparently it’s SEAGULLS 😂🐦

Our Seedlings created their very own Seagull Dance for our Portsmouth 100 celebration performance 'What a Wonderful World' at the Theatre of the Sea, and we loved it. 💙
