Writing this sign off message for Filsoc is so surreal; not only has this year flown by, but the past 3 years of uni has now come to an end. However I know that the memories I have made during my time here will be happy memories I will look back on for years to come, as well as the friendships that I know are now for life. Thank you so much my UPFS family! You took me in as a fresher 3 years ago, welcoming me warmly into this amazing community at UoP. Becoming Media Secretary in my second year brought so much more life and happiness in otherwise wary times in the peak of the pandemic and lockdown. And finally I had the honour in being your President this year; I couldn’t have imagined a better final year at uni than this.

The people I have met along the way have made this experience even more memorable and special to me - Portsmouth will always feel like home all thanks to the family I’ve made here. I hope our society continues to grow and that each and every single one of you get to experience Portsmouth in your own special way just as I have. Make the most of every moment, this blissful chapter in our lives is short but sweet, so I wish nothing but the best for you all🥹

Hey, everyone! Join us for this year’s Family Picnic 🌞🍢

When: Wednesday, 11th May 2022 @ 2pm
Where: Southsea Commons

This is a good time to take a break in between deadlines and exams and to chill with the other members of UPFS! On this day there will be bbq food, drinks and games planned, however feel free to bring food to share and your own drinks.🤪

Tickets are on sale at £5/person and deadline’s on the 9th May 2022 @ noon :) Late payments will not be accepted and we will not accept payments on the day. 🤨

Don’t forget fill out the form found in our bio if you’re sure that you’re going. We will use this form to put you into families, where one of the committee member will be the "parent" of your family.👨🏻‍🍼🤱🏻

After filling it, make sure to send your ENTRY PAYMENTS of £5 to the Filsoc account by the said deadline, other wise you won't be registered and put into families. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

We’re inviting you all to our biggest upcoming event, the Inter-FilSoc Sportsfest 2022!

We will be collaborating with different Filipino Societies including the universities of Greenwich, Oxford Brookes, Reading, Southampton, and Sussex! 🇵🇭

DATE: Saturday, 23rd of April 2022
LOCATION: Mountbatten Centre, Alex Way, PO2 9QA
TIME: 10am - 5pm

ENTRY FEE: £4.00
- for players, spectators, and guests

ENTRY FEE (including lunch provided by JustAsia): £15 - 2 mains and a side/snack/dessert (final menu will be confirmed soon)

It has been such a long time since we last had our sportsfest so we encourage you to join us and enjoy the games between FilSocs playing Basketball, Volleyball, and Badminton.
