So many times we hear people say that it's a fad, it's a trend, they all do it to be like their friends they do it for attention. We didn't have none of this years ago. Yes we did but people were too scared to show it. People knew how society would treat them.

Today is International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. This date was chosen to commemorate the decision to remove homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases from the World Health Organisation on 17th May 1990. Hate crimes and hate incidents can take place anywhere, - at home, in school, at work, online. No one should have to live with the fear, anxiety and consequences of hate. It was one of the reasons that His Name Is Zak was created to show the human side of Transgender youth not just the tabloid point of view.

We have exciting news! We have already raised £150 for Mermaids UK but it's not going to stop there. Following on from the interactive premiere we have today made His Name is Zak available on YouTube for FREE. In return, we are asking for donations to Mermaids UK to help them continue to do the amazing work they do with gender diverse children, young people and their families.
