What keeps someone coming back for three years?

For Mike, Mark and Jerry, it's not just the activities on offer.

It's the familiar faces. The conversations. The sense of purpose that comes from being healthier and happier.

As part of our 3rd birthday celebrations, our Wellbeing Hub members reflected on their journey and what has kept them coming back since day one.

The Horizon Wellbeing Hub is 3 years old! 🎉

Three years ago, we opened the doors of the Wellbeing Hub in the Meridian Centre with a simple aim: to make health and wellbeing support more accessible to our community.

Since then, we've delivered hundreds of free health checks, supported people through programmes such as FLOURISH, Foundations and Beat It!, created new partnerships and welcomed thousands of visitors through our doors.

Most importantly, we've met some incredible people along the way. People taking their first steps towards better health, building confidence, making connections and achieving things they never thought possible.

We're incredibly proud of how far the Hub has come in just three years, and even more excited about what's still to come.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. 💙

From day one to year three! 🎉

For the past three years, our Community Health Projects Manager, Abi, and the community team have helped grow the Horizon Wellbeing Hub into the welcoming, supportive space it is today.

To celebrate our 3rd birthday, Abi caught up with Geraldine, Shirley and Francis, who have been with the Hub since the very beginning, to hear what it has meant to them over the years.
