Kicked off something a little different yesterday—day one in the studio working on a brand new 10-track album for Clym Arnold. It’s shaping up to be a special project, bringing together a host of incredible artists and musicians, all drawing inspiration from that classic Stax Records vibe of the late ’60s and early ’70s. Really excited for what’s ahead.

UK-based DJ Jason Foy delivers a dose of classic jungle, hardcore, and rave for Guest Mix #11 in our series.

Hailing from Portsmouth, Jason is a self-confessed festival addict who has been behind the decks since the age of 15. Over the years, he’s played at some of the UK’s best-known festivals, including Isle of Wight, Camp Bestival, Alfresco, and Mutiny.

16 year old Emmanuel is a very talented pianist and songwriter that i have met through working with URBOND Youth Development Programme over thye last year and a bit. He'd never seen, let alone play a synth before so safe to say he was like a kid in a sweet shop!

Number eight in the series comes from Laurence Reed Drawn to the early raw energy of Chicago and Detroit house and techno, Laurence has spent over 25 years exploring and sharing the sounds that first inspired him.

Along the way, he’s played alongside artists like Kevin Saunderson, Josh Wink, Joey Beltram, Eddie Richards and Rolando, while also running the UK label Murge Recordings, a platform for the music he’s most passionate about that has seen releases from the likes of Russ Gabriel, Mark Ambrose, Orlando Voorn, Aubrey, Jay Tripwire and D-Knox.
