Our first evening course in Rowlands Castle ended on such a high, with an incredible final session where everyone painted their own chosen image. It’s been amazing to see how much everyone has grown over the last 12 weeks.

Throughout the course, we explored a variety of mediums, and attendees learned a range of artistic techniques while developing their own creative practice. It’s been wonderful to see people discover which mediums they enjoy most and want to continue with.

I’m thrilled to say that our next course starts on 23rd April. The attached image shows the full line-up. Every two weeks, we’ll explore a new medium, and at the start of the course you’ll receive a new folder and pack of paintbrushes to bring along to each class.

We’ll be joined by three artists - myself, Peter Tomlin, and Heidi Hi each bringing their own style and experience. There’s no need to bring anything, as all materials are provided.

Classes run in the evening from 6.30–8.30pm, making it the perfect way to unwind after work, switch off, and explore your creative practice.

Another glorious watercolour class at The Clanfield Centre last Thursday! 🎨✨

This week we painted seahorses and explored a variety of watercolour techniques.

For the background, we experimented with salt textures to create beautiful underwater effects. Then we used wet-on-wet techniques for the seahorse itself, blending colours softly before letting the layers dry. Once dry, we added extra details with further layers to really bring our seahorses to life.
It was a lovely, relaxed session and everyone created something unique. 🐚
