The Valknut which is usually associated to Odin, draws focus for many people, and is also tied to this ancient shamanic practice

It's said that Odin had the power to lay binds upon the mind, so that enemies became helpless in battle, and that he could also loosen or unbind peoples tensions of fear and strain by gifting battle-madness, intoxication, or inspiration

SeiΔ‘r practitioners use ecstatic trace like states to not only interact with the world of spirit, but also to see and influence the future

Between the chaos of change and the calm of the every day, there is a point of equilibrium, a state of harmony in life

In its balanced shape the Maori "Koru" symbol seemed well fitting to be drawn during , our community arts festival

Representing the spiral of an unfurling fern frond, Koru means fold or loop, it symbolises creation perpetual movement and hope

Seeing people play and dance in sand art I've created fully fills my heart πŸŒπŸ’™

Funny how circles get smaller as they move inwards

Today is world su***de prevention day
And I'm sure most of us have been impacted by the tragedy of su***de in some way.. if you know someone who's struggling give them a call or send a quick message to let them know you care

If you're feeling proper low and reading this please remember depression isn't a choice, but no matter how alone you feel there's always someone who's willing to listen if you choose to talk

Reach out, get help, don't suffer in silence and don't make the worst decision of your life πŸ™

We regularly use aspects of psychology in everyday life, whether we realise we do or not

Often it could be about trying to build better bonds with people, maybe just by smiling in conversation, or by using open expressive body language
Some people even appeal to peoples vanity or self indulgence to manipulate others or to gain attention

After a great beach yoga session with a friend and without any hesitation, this evening we drew these two equal sized interlocking spirals on this beautiful beach

Having people smile genuinely in curiousity or amazement is a wonderful way to start conversations πŸ™πŸŒπŸ’™

"When we support each other, incredible things can happen"

In the middle of summer last year we got asked to help boost morale for local athletes who were overseas competing in the Tokyo Olympics, by leaving them a good will gesture in the sand on an iconic Northern Irish beach πŸ’™πŸŒ

Seeing the ripples of online kindness and good will that spread out from people seeing the huge Olympic rings we drew that day was really heartwarming

Thanks again to local artist Michelle McGarvey for organising this day and inviting Tide and time to take part πŸ™

Everyone who has lived and breathed the Bundoran surf scene knows what 3D is, fickle, heavy, doesn't last for long, but epic when its on!

One of my favourite waves on the West coast!.. as tough to manage as creating sand art in howling onshore winds like we had today
