In 2006 the Elvis painting in blue and orange was used for the Porthcawl Elvis Festival. It has been used for the Benidorm Elvis Fiesta since. I have decided to create a tribute to the image twenty years on with the same colour scheme for this year. Celebrating Elvis in the movies. This is the progress so far for this year, 20 years on.

I have rather neglected my page and feel now is the time to resurrect some interest from followers and hopefully gain some new friends, rekindle my love of creating and share our passion-Elvis!
I have been producing the Elvis imagery for the Porthcawl festival since 2004. I’ve explored lots of different artistic processes from batik to collograph print and digital and practical painting. I’ll be adding posts from previous years and showcasing this year’s image.

This year’s image for the Porthcawl Elvis Festival (2022) is ‘Pride of Memphis’.
This is a new process for me, I have produced this ‘painting’ digitally and my intention was to recreate the nostalgic ‘feel’ of hand drawn comic art of the 50’s and 60’s. Linework is exaggerated and blends are really softened- anyway, hope you like it! Sara x
